Very functional...great near the beach.
Think about it, those are perfect for the female lifeguards at the swimming pools of the world, that striking heel giving them a great elevation to oversee the pool, while also speeding them up in the process of getting to whomever is in need of aid in the water once in there.

If I tried to wear these, I'd go a..e over tip. Great for when you are young and daft but problems will manifest themselves in later life. However, have to admit they are rather striking and in line with the fashion of today.
